VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 29, 2010) - Rockland Minerals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:RL) (the "Company") reports that it has commenced its summer 2010 exploration program on the Schefferville gold property located in Labrador Trough area of Quebec. The property is located approximately 50 kilometres north of the town of Schefferville.
The program will focus on mapping, prospecting, and sampling over several highly prospective claim block areas, including Lac Boucault, and Lac Lilois. The goal of the program is to design a larger scale field program for spring 2011.
Rockland has an option to earn 100% of the Schefferville gold property from Ernest D. Black by completing $1.3 million in property work expenditures over a five-year period.
